of course now that I am so much in debt I am always running into opportunities I wish I had the money for. I have always been wanting to get into stocks, even day trading. It seems exciting but I suppose you have to know a lot more about trading than I do at this point, but I thought penny stocks would be a safe way of starting to grasp the concepts of trading and watching the numbers throughout the day.
The particular opportunity I ran into recently was buying and selling gold online. I've always seen tv ads for buying gold coins and stuff and I never really appreicated the value of gold bullion. The closest thing I have heard about are rumors that there are streets in NYC and Washington DC that are 'paved' with gold meaning gold is stored far underground but under the streets we walk on. I am not sure if that is true or not. Anyway since my financial advisor told me to start planning for things like vet bills, and not considering them an emergency expense but something I set aside money for, I may invest some of the money I am storing away into an investment like this to build up my savings. This site doesn't let you store the gold yourself which has good points and bad points. On the one hand you don't have to go through the hassle of figuring out where to safely store gold in a bank vault or somewhere on your property like they did in the olden days. On the other hand a crazy person like me would want to hold the gold and be able to go "Ooh' and "Ahh" over the pure gold. I also fancy the notion of burying it in my backyard with a treasure map in a hollow book in my bookshelf or something like that, but that is probably very idiotic. The handy chart that this gold company has on their website makes me think I could definetly learn a thing or two about buying and selling costs from analyzing the prices of gold and how they change around the world. this is an opportunity for me to really think about once I start building a fund for large expenses I will need in the medium-term.
